Leveraging Data for Student Engagement and Wellbeing in Undergraduate and Graduate Education
The 2024 SERU Symposium and Business Meeting | September 17-18, 2024 | University of Toronto
We are delighted to invite you to the SERU Symposium and Business Meeting "Leveraging Data for Student Engagement and Wellbeing in Undergraduate and Graduate Education," on September 17-18, 2024, at the University of Toronto (Canada). This event is co-sponsored by the Center for Studies in Higher Education at UC Berkeley, and the School of Graduate Studies and the Division of Student Life at the University of Toronto.
This year, our symposium aims to explore the data-driven approaches for the holistic development of undergraduate and graduate students. We seek to delve into how empirical insights from SERU and gradSERU surveys can help foster environments that not only enhance academic success but also promote student wellbeing and mental health.
We invite proposals from SERU campus representatives, affiliates, and researchers highlighting the use of SERU and gradSERU data to create empowering and meaningful learning experiences. Proposals may include empirical research, case studies, and practical implementations, all aimed at exploring survey data to understand and improve student experience at research universities.
Proposals are accepted within five thematic areas of the symposium:
Undergraduate and Graduate Student Engagement and Learning
Student Wellbeing in Undergraduate and Graduate Education
Socioeconomic Disparities in Undergraduate and Graduate Education
Using SERU and gradSERU Data to Support Decision-Making
Best Practices in Survey Administration and Survey Governance
Please submit your proposal by June 5, 2024, and don't hesitate to contact Igor Chirikov, SERU Consortium Director and Senior Researcher, if you have any questions!
We look forward to seeing you in Toronto!
